NEW ORLEANS, La. — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country All-Academic Teams on Thursday.
As the fall semester wraps up, academic recognition continues to stack up for the Cardinals. The Saint Mary's women's cross country team earned All-Academic Team honors for the fourth straight year, highlighted by an impressive team GPA of 3.75.
Sophomore Mya Slavin was the program's lone individual All-Academic honoree. Slavin delivered a historic performance at the conference championships, placing fourth out of 169 runners with a time of 21:51 which was the best finish ever recorded by a Saint Mary's women's cross country athlete. Her race also shattered the previous 6K school record by more than a minute, establishing a new program benchmark.
Several members of the cross country squad, who also compete in track & field, will be back in action this weekend at the St. Olaf Invitational.
